Jasper at 2.5 years old: No Diapers!

Small things I don't want to forget:

1. He calls the water at the pool "sparkly blue", and when he gets out of the pool and his hands are all wrinkly he says, "look mama, sparkly blue"

2. The new "darfay" (Jasper's last made up word) is "whizzarino"--not sure that's how he would spell it if he could... Darfay was anything Jasper didn't know, whizzarino is used more like an exclamation, it's usually associated with excitement, like "whizzarino read the book!" or just plain "whizzarino!!!!"

3. Everything that has some form of measurement is "49." For example:
"What time is it?" "49"
"How long is that stick? "49"
"How much money do you have in your wallet?" "49"

4. and the big one! Jasper started wearing underwear last Monday, December 3rd, 2007. We got him Spiderman and Star Wars underwear so he'd be excited about wearing underwear. So far pretty good, we've had a few incidents luckily only pee and at home. Last Tuesday, I was nursing Jayna and he said he had to go pee so I said, "can you go by yourself?" and he said, "oh sure!" So he got his little stool from the other room, brought it to the bathroom, turned on the light, took off his underwear and pants, put his toilet seat on the toilet, climbed up there, sat down and peed and wiped. Got off and said, Mama I'm all done...please help me with my pants! This whole thing, of course, made me cry....I couldn't believe it and just how he's growing up so fast.
