Jayna is 2 months old and Jasper is 2.5 years old
Here's a picture of Jayna at 7 weeks and Jasper at 29 months. We had Jayna's 8 week and Jasper's 2.5 year old appointments today. Not surprisingly, Jasper has barely grown, in fact he's not even staying on his own growth curve like he was before. Jasper was in the 25th percentile until about 6 months old and then he dropped to the 3rd percentile where he's been ever since until this appointment, he's not even on the charts. We had already gone through the whole lot of tests, testing for cystic fibrosis, seeing the endocrinologist, GI people, nutritionist and they didn't find anything so we stopped seeing the specialists, however with Jasper not even staying on his own growth curve we've decided to go back and see the endocrinologist again. I swear I think about Jasper's size every day, I feel like my Mom when I do because I know this is something that would worry her day and night too.On the opposite end, Jayna is weighing in at the 75th percentile for both weight and height! Wow--I had a feeling she was on the larger end. She's a funny baby and she only poops once a week, so I think she's just absorbing all of the nutrients in my breastmilk because she's a big girl and needs it, she also sleeps a lot and sleeps super well at night. So far we've had a few nights where she's slept 6-7 hours straight--yay!!
Let me see...what else is going on. I find myself constantly thinking about going on a vacation. Chad and I have been really itching to do some travelling. I started doing research into a possible trip to Tokyo, I think it would be fun to go to Disneyland and the Studio Ghibli museum. Jasper LOVES Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service and Spirited Away....and of course Disney films too. and Chad and I would love to be in Tokyo. Other options are gong on a cruise, just driving south somewhere warm and we can hang on the beach, perhaps Hawaii....not sure but I find myself thinking about it a lot.
We'll be going back to Michigan for Thanksgiving and I'm really looking forward to it. My Dad just had his surgery to remove his prostate because they found prostate cancer and we wanted to go back to Michigan for a longer period of time so we could spend more time with my parents. Thankfully my Dad's surgery went really well, the cancer was very small and had not spread anywhere and his recovery has been going wonderfully.
